California Wall Art

California Wall Art

California wall art gathers the state's most photographed ground under one roof: Yosemite's granite valleys, the redwood coast, Big Sur's cliffs, Death Valley's dunes, the high Sierra lakes, and the skylines of Los Angeles and San Francisco. Every piece here is a photograph, printed only after you order.

Yosemite Wall Art: Winter Or Golden Hour

Yosemite wall art in this collection splits into two moods. A winter piece, such as El Capitan in Winter, shows the valley pale and quiet, snow catching the granite. A golden hour piece, such as El Capitan at Tunnel View or the Half Dome Reflection, turns the same rock orange and pink instead, and the Merced River at Yosemite Valley carries the color again in the water below. Several scenes here also come in a panoramic shape: above a 70 inch queen headboard, a 48 x 16 inch panoramic print spans about two thirds of the width. For more of the park itself, the national park wall art collection carries the rest of Yosemite's valley floor.

The High Sierra Above Tahoe And Mono Lake

Above Yosemite, the Sierra Nevada opens into lakes rather than a single valley. Lake Tahoe appears here in a dozen moods, from the Blue Lake Tahoe Landscape to the Frosted Pier at Lake Tahoe, and Mono Lake's white tufa towers give the range a stranger edge. These scenes run cooler than Yosemite's granite, and sit well in a room already built around stone, glass or steel.

The California Coast, From Big Sur North

California coast wall art in this collection follows Highway 1 rather than a single beach. Big Sur Coastal Road and the Misty Big Sur Coastline show the cliffs dropping into the water, while Bixby Creek Bridge at Sunset adds the bridge further along the drive. South Laguna Beach and the Oceanside Beach California Sunset move south to flatter sand. For shorelines outside California too, the coastal wall art collection carries the rest.

Redwood Country

Redwood art here follows the trees rather than a single park. The Redwood Highway, Northern California print and the Sunlit Redwood Highway both look down the road between the trunks, while the Towering Redwood Canopy looks up into it instead. The Redwood Forest in Mist softens the same trunks into gray. The coast redwoods continue north past the state line into the Oregon wall art collection.

Northern California Wall Art Around Mount Shasta

Northern California wall art in this collection centers on Mount Shasta rather than the redwoods alone. Snowy Mount Shasta and the Road to Mount Shasta show the peak from a distance, while Mount Shasta Over Lake Siskiyou doubles the mountain in still water. Lassen Morning Reflection carries the same cold, clear look further into the range.

Death Valley And The Desert Route

Death Valley wall art in this collection is the warmest corner of the state. Death Valley Sand Dunes and the Death Valley Desert Road run in cream, rust and violet, and the Mojave Desert Route 66 print carries the same palette north. For more of this palette, the desert wall art collection continues east.

Two Skylines: Los Angeles And San Francisco

Two cities carry most of the skyline pieces here. Downtown Los Angeles Skyline Cityscape and the Griffith Observatory with City Skyline show the city from ground level; the fuller Los Angeles wall art collection holds more of that skyline. San Francisco Skyline at Twilight and the Foggy Golden Gate Bridge do the same for the north, in the San Francisco wall art collection.

Sizing A California Canvas To Your Wall

California canvas wall art in this collection follows the same rule as any large print: the width should cover roughly two thirds to three quarters of the furniture below it. Above a 68 inch sideboard, a 48 x 32 inch landscape covers a little over two thirds of the width. Keep the center 57 to 60 inches from the floor, or 6 to 8 inches above the furniture.

How Each Piece Is Made

Every piece here prints only after you order it, using archival inks on museum-quality canvas stretched over a solid wooden inner frame. A Canvas Print has no outer frame, a Framed Canvas or Framed Print adds one, and a Poster Print ships unframed, usually the lowest starting price. Shipping is free, delivery takes 8 to 10 business days, and returns are open for 30 days from delivery.

Common Questions

Is There California Lake Wall Art Here?

Yes, and lakes are one of the larger themes in this collection. Tenaya Lake Reflection comes from high in Yosemite, Lake Almanor Reflections from the far north, and Lake Arrowhead Sunset Over Pines from the mountains above Los Angeles. Closer to the coast, Lake Casitas Golden Hour and Lake Cachuma Vista show calmer water framed by dry golden hills.

Can I Get Yosemite Wall Art Without A Frame?

Yes. Most Yosemite pieces in this collection also come as a Poster Print, which ships unframed and is usually the lowest starting price of the four finishes. Choose the poster to frame it yourself, or a Canvas Print or a framed option to have it arrive ready to hang.

Where Does Redwood Wall Art Work Best In A House?

Redwood wall art works best where the room already feels enclosed and quiet, since the pieces look up into the canopy or down a forest road. A hallway, a reading corner or the wall above a bed gives a redwood print room to feel like depth. On a long wall, a redwood highway road in its widest shape fills the width more easily.

Are There California Map Prints In This Collection?

Yes. A few pieces trade the photograph for a map of the state or a single city: a topographic map that reduces the mountains to contour lines, a county map with each county in its own color, and separate street and river maps of Sacramento. These work best as a small print near a desk or entryway table rather than as the main piece on an open wall.

Does This Collection Include Southern California?

Yes, alongside the north. Big Bear Lake Landscape and Big Bear Mountain Range cover the inland mountains east of Los Angeles, and Palm Desert Golf Course with Lake pictures the low desert further south, away from the redwood coast and the Sierra lakes further north. San Diego Bay Skyline and Long Beach Rainbow Harbor Skyline add two more Southern California cities beyond Los Angeles itself.
