Nautical Wall Decor

Nautical Wall Decor

Nautical wall decor here means pictures of vessels and ports: cruise liners, container ships, tugboats, warships and sailing ships, with lighthouses and harbor scenes beside them. Many of the pieces show working and passenger ships, so you can choose by vessel, by port or by the room.

Cruise Ship Wall Art For Fjords, Bays And Tropical Shores

Several cruise ship titles name the place, so you can choose by setting. Cruise Ship at Geiranger Fjord and Cruise Ship on Hardanger Fjorden are fjord pieces, Cruise Ship in Yakutat Bay is an Alaska one, and Tropical Beach Cruise Ship Shoreline puts a cruise ship at a tropical beach, a fit for a sunroom or guest room. More Alaska scenes are in the Alaska wall art collection.

Container Ship And Cargo Ship Art For An Office

Container and cargo ship pieces are an easy choice for a home office or den. Container Ship in Harbor and Suez Canal Container Ships show container ships in port and in a canal, and Container Ship Aerial View looks down from above. Harbor Cargo Ship with Reflection names a reflection, Cargo Ship Under Star Trail Sky names the sky above the hull, and Lng Tanker at Sea shows a tanker.

Tugboats, Ferries And Motor Yachts

Tugboats, ferries and motor yachts are the smaller vessels in this collection. Tugboat Off Valparaiso Coast shows a working boat near a shore, Blue Ferry on Lake Como and Lake Lucerne Passenger Boat show boats on Lake Como and Lake Lucerne, and Motor Yacht Cutting Through Spray shows a yacht in spray. Motor Yacht from Above looks down on a yacht, and Blue Yacht Reflection shows a blue yacht with its reflection.

Warships And Aircraft Carriers For A Den Or Study

Naval pieces are named for the vessel. Navy Aircraft Carrier and Aircraft Carrier at Sunset show carriers, Frigate in Stormy Sea and Naval Fleet at Golden Sunset show surface ships, and Warship Silhouette at Sunset shows a warship in silhouette. They fit a study or a den. Aircraft, tanks and soldiers are in the military wall art collection.

Pirate Ships And Viking Longships

Several pieces show sailing vessels. Three-masted Sailing Ship at Sea, Pirate Ship at Sunset and Viking Longships at Sunset are three pieces for a den or a game room, and Gilded Figurehead Sailing Ship comes in Portrait for a narrow wall. For sailboats, schooners and galleons, see sailing ship wall art.

Lighthouse And Harbor Scenes

Harbor pieces show a port by name. Lighthouse Under Storm and Lighthouse and Sailing Ship at Dusk bring in a lighthouse, while Tobermory Harbour at Twilight, Husavik Harbor at Golden Hour, Stockholm Harbour and Sydney Harbour Vista name their ports. The harbour wall art collection holds more ports, and coastal wall art holds the shoreline itself.

Shipwrecks And Moonlit Ships For A Quiet Corner

Shipwreck and moonlit ship pieces are grouped here for a night or wreck subject. Dimitrios Shipwreck, Gytheio, Shipwreck Under Milky Way and Moonlit Shipwreck Reflection name the wreck and the sky or water around it. Moonlit Floating Ship and Moonlit Ship with Glowing Star keep the night setting without a wreck.

Pictures Of Ships, Not Rope, Wheels Or Anchors

If you want nautical decor as objects, such as a ship's wheel, compass, rope or knots, note that this collection is made of printed pictures. The nearest thing to a chart is Vintage Nautical World Map. Antique maps and clocks are in the antique map and clock art collection.

Sizing Nautical Wall Decor Over Furniture

Size a picture to the furniture below it, at about two thirds to three quarters of its width. Over a 66 inch sideboard, a 48 x 32 inch picture covers about 73 percent, a fair match for Container Ship in Harbor. Over a 90 inch sectional, a 60 x 40 inch picture covers about 67 percent, which fits Navy Aircraft Carrier. Center the piece 57 to 60 inches from the floor, with 6 to 8 inches above the furniture.

How Each Piece Is Made

Every piece is printed to order after you place it. A Canvas Print is museum-quality canvas with archival inks, stretched over a solid wooden inner frame, with no outer frame. A Framed Canvas puts that canvas in a frame, a Framed Print sets the picture behind a white mat inside a frame, and a Poster Print arrives unframed and not ready to hang. Shipping is free, delivery takes 8 to 10 business days, and returns run 30 days from delivery.

Common Questions

What is the difference between coastal and nautical decor?

Coastal decor is about the shore and living beside the sea, while nautical decor is about ships, harbors and sailing. A beach scene is coastal and a cargo ship is nautical, and the two sit well together in one room. The coastal wall art collection covers the shore if you want that side of the pairing.

What are some ideas for nautical decor?

Start with one vessel type and let it set the room, such as a cruise liner for a guest room or a lighthouse for an entry. If you are unsure, match the subject to what the room is for, such as a harbor piece for a hallway or a warship piece for a study. Hang one larger picture if the wall is open and clear.

Is there large nautical wall decor?

Yes, the largest Panoramic is 60 x 20 inches and the largest Square is 48 x 48 inches. A large picture fits a wide, open wall, such as one over a headboard or a long dining room wall, where a smaller one would look lost. Measure the wall and the furniture first, then pick the size.

Where can I find nautical wall decor near me?

Every piece here is printed to order and shipped from within your region, so you can order from home and skip a store trip. Browse by vessel, by port or by room in the sections above, and check the sizes on each piece's page before you order.

What are some good nautical-themed gifts?

A picture of a ship, lighthouse or harbor makes a gift for someone who likes ships or the sea. Pick a vessel that matches something they like, such as a cruise, a harbor they know or a lighthouse, and check the sizes so it fits the wall you have in mind. Order at least two weeks before you need it, since each piece is printed to order after you buy it.
