Stockholm Wall Art

Stockholm Wall Art

Stockholm wall art here means pictures of Stockholm and its metro: Gamla Stan and Riddarholmen skylines, harbor and waterfront views, a Solna Centrum metro station and Stockholm city maps. Several titles name the hour, from golden hour and sunset to twilight and night, so you can choose a view by its hour and by the wall it will hang on.

Which Gamla Stan Skyline Should You Choose?

Two Gamla Stan skyline titles differ only in word order, so compare their product pages before you choose. Stockholm Gamla Stan Skyline and Gamla Stan Stockholm Skyline are separate pieces; open both product pages and pick the view you prefer. Gamla Stan is the Swedish name for Stockholm's old town. For skylines of other cities, see the city skyline wall art collection.

Golden Hour, Sunset Or Twilight: Choosing The Hour

Riddarholmen Church Golden Hour Skyline, Stockholm Sunset Over Mariaberget and Twilight Over Riddarholmen are each named for an hour, so you can choose by the time of day you want on the wall. Three pieces in the same size, hung in a row in that order, put the three hours side by side. Hung alone, any one carries a landing or a dining room wall.

Gamla Stan Harbor, Waterfront Or Stockholm Harbour

Several titles name the water's edge: Gamla Stan Harbor Panorama, Gamla Stan Waterfront, Gamla Stan Harbor, Stockholm and Stockholm Harbour, which keeps the British spelling in its title. Gamla Stan Harbor Panorama and Gamla Stan Harbor, Stockholm are separate pieces, so open both. For a long, low wall behind a sofa, Stockholm Harbour and Gamla Stan Harbor, Stockholm are both offered in panoramic.

Gamla Stan Night Reflections Above A Bed

Gamla Stan Night Reflections is a night view of Gamla Stan, offered in a long, low panoramic shape for a bedroom wall. It spans a headboard without crowding the wall above it. Above a 70 inch headboard, a 48 x 16 inch panoramic covers 69 percent of the width.

Stockholm Map Wall Art For A Hallway Or Study

Stockholm City Map and Stockholm Map with Architectural Illustrations are two different maps of the city. Above a 28 inch hall table, Stockholm City Map at 20 x 40 inches covers 71 percent of the width and stays narrow enough for a hallway. Above a 52 inch desk, Stockholm Map with Architectural Illustrations at 36 x 24 inches covers 69 percent. For maps of other cities, see the city map wall art collection.

Large Stockholm Wall Art For A Living Room Sofa

A sofa sets the size: a large piece should span roughly two thirds to three quarters of its width. Above a 75 inch sofa, Gamla Stan Waterfront at 54 x 36 inches covers 72 percent of the width, enough to hold the wall alone. Choose one Gamla Stan title and leave the wall around it bare.

A Small Square Piece For A Dresser Or Chest Of Drawers

A square piece fits a nook where a long print would crowd the furniture, and Stockholm Harbour and Stockholm Sunset Over Mariaberget are both offered in square. Above a 34 inch chest of drawers, a 24 x 24 inch square covers 71 percent of the width. Choose the sunset title when you want a named hour, or the harbour title when you want a Stockholm view with no hour in its name.

Solna Centrum Metro Station Beside The Old Town Views

Solna Centrum Metro Station is named for a transit stop, which sets it apart from the skyline, harbor and map titles in this collection. Hung beside Gamla Stan Waterfront in a matching size, it gives a hallway or an office wall two different subjects. A small matching size such as 18 x 12 inches keeps the pair compact.

Stockholm Next To Sweden, Denmark And Norway

Three nearby collections hold other Nordic views. The Sweden wall art collection widens the view with Lake Vanern shorelines and the Oresund Bridge, the Copenhagen wall art collection has Nyhavn Canal at sunset and dusk, and the Norway wall art collection has Lofoten harbors and Geirangerfjord.

How Each Piece Is Made

Nothing in this collection waits on a shelf: a Stockholm piece is printed once your order is placed. Canvas is museum quality, printed in archival inks and stretched over a solid wooden inner frame, so canvas and framed pieces arrive ready to hang and a poster arrives unframed. Shipping costs nothing, and returns are open for 30 days from delivery.

Common Questions

What Is Stockholm Style Room Decor?

Here it means pictures of Stockholm and its metro, not a design look. Each product page shows what a picture contains before you order, so you can open a few and check the subject, the shape and the sizes that appeal to you before you choose one piece for the wall you have in mind.

Are There Stockholm Style Posters?

Yes, many Stockholm views are offered as a Poster Print, which arrives unframed and usually has the lowest starting price, so plan the frame or the hanging method before it arrives. Open a product page to see which views are offered as a poster, and in which sizes. If you need one by a set date, order at least two weeks before it.

Are There Black And White Stockholm Style Posters?

Not by title: none of the Stockholm titles says black and white. Check the images on each product page before you order if that look matters to you, and use the poster finish if you want a lower starting price.

Are There Stockholm Style Pictures For A Room?

Yes, the collection holds Stockholm views and maps in several sizes, so you can match a picture to the wall. Aim for a piece that spans about two thirds to three quarters of the width of the furniture below it. Measure the sofa, bed or console first, then compare that width with the sizes listed on each product page.

How High Should Stockholm Style Pictures For A Room Hang?

Hang the center of the picture 57 to 60 inches from the floor on an open wall. Above a sofa, a bed or a console, leave 6 to 8 inches between the furniture and the bottom edge instead, so the two stay connected. Mark the center point first, then check the bottom edge against the furniture.
